The successful candidates will demonstrate:

• A strong commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, underpinned by secure subject knowledge and effective pedagogy
• Consistently high expectations of pupils’ behaviour, engagement, and achievement, contributing positively to the calm, orderly ethos of the school
• Excellent classroom practice through:

• Carefully sequenced planning that anticipates workload and builds pupils’ knowledge, skills, and understanding over time
• Use of assessment to monitor progress, identify gaps, and adapt teaching to meet pupils’ needs
• Preparing pupils confidently and appropriately for statutory and internal assessment


• A flexible and reflective approach, responding effectively to changing priorities and the needs of pupils and the school
• A strong commitment to inclusion, demonstrating an understanding of the needs of pupils with SEND, disadvantaged pupils, and those requiring additional support
• Effective collaboration with parents, carers, support staff, and external professionals to secure the best outcomes for pupils
• The ability to provide clear advice and guidance to pupils and parents on learning, progress, and wellbeing
• An active contribution to curriculum development, ensuring it is ambitious, inclusive, and well-matched to pupils’ needs
• Engagement in school self-evaluation, improvement planning, and review processes to raise standards and improve outcomes
• A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities, promoting the health, safety, and welfare of all pupils at all times
• Strong problem-solving skills, thinking logically and appropriately when addressing concerns and making referrals where necessary
