Our Geography curriculum empowers students with the skills and knowledge to make sense of the dynamic world around them and inspire the imagination and desire to want to learn more about the physical, environmental and social interactions of the modern world. Our overarching aim is to ensure that pupils can gain a broad understanding of the workings of our world, and equip them with lifelong learning skills to understand, evaluate and reach conclusions about geographical themes and processes.
In 2025, our value-added score for Humanities was +0.9, indicating that on average, each student achieved almost one grade higher across these subjects. 62.9% of our GCSE Geography students achieved grade 5+, reflecting the excellent teaching throughout their time at THS. As you can see, we are a strong department that is looking to maintain this high-quality teaching and passion for our subject.
