Summary

A Vacancy at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

Evans ward is a 15-bed inpatient unit, which provides psychiatric care for men, aged 18-65, with acute mental health problems who live in the London Borough of Lewisham.

The ward is based at the Ladywell unit on the University hospital Lewisham site. In addition to this ward, the Ladywell unit has two other general adult male wards (Clare and Powell wards) , two female general adult ward (Wharton and Virginia Woolf wards), one male PICU (Johnson Unit) and various community services including the Lewisham Home Treatment team, enabling very close working between teams. This promotes good levels of peer support from several consultant colleagues on a daily basis as well as facilitating consultant cover and makes it easy for consultants to find nominal cover during periods of leave.

There is a female PICU and other male PICU’s located in other parts of the trust which Lewisham patients can access.
