Summary

What you'll be doing

Join the UK Parliament as a Health and Safety Business Partner within the House of Commons, where you'll play a vital role supporting complex, high-profile projects across a unique, live working environment. Working closely with the Lead Health and Safety Business Partner, you'll help shape and deliver robust safety management arrangements across multiple concurrent construction and maintenance activities on the Parliamentary Estate.

This role offers the opportunity to influence safety culture at the heart of government, supporting stakeholders and supply chain partners in meeting their duties under CDM regulations. You'll monitor compliance, provide expert advice, and contribute to audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborating with a wide network of teams, contractors, and senior offices, you'll drive best practice, support training delivery, and contribute to incident investigations and strategic safety initiatives. This is a dynamic and impactful position for a safety professional seeking meaningful work in a prestigious and fast-paced environment.

What we're looking for:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate / NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Tech IOSH, or similar and equivalent membership
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of construction safety legislation, standards and best practice
  • Experience of successfully managing a variety of safety issues and non-compliances
  • Experience in stakeholder management and relaying complex information in an understandable way
  • Ability to uphold the values of equality, diversity & inclusion.
