We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join a supportive and well-resourced Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Ashford, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator seeking a rewarding SEND teaching job in Kent from September.

This role is ideal for a committed SEN Teacher / SEND Teacher who is confident delivering high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), and complex learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

As a SEND Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND
- Implement and review EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress in line with SEND frameworks
- Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of learning and behavioural needs
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating SEND classroom environment
- Use effective positive behaviour management strategies
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, therapists, and parents/carers

Requirements - SEND Teacher Role

To be successful in this SEND teaching job in Ashford, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
- Proven experience as a SEND Teacher, SEN Teacher, or within a specialist education setting
- Strong understanding of SEND frameworks, EHCPs, and differentiated planning
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and complex needs
- Excellent behaviour management and classroom adaptation skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
- A patient, resilient, and flexible approach to teaching in SEN environments
