Summary
D.Edwards-Brown & Co Ltd is offering an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant Apprentice. This role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in administration and finance while gaining a recognised apprenticeship qualification and valuable hands-on experience.
There is potential for permanent employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship for the right candidate.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Supporting the finance team with day-to-day bookkeeping activities
Assisting with payroll administration
Accurate data entry and maintenance of financial records
General administrative support as required
Handling sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
Skills and Qualities We Are Looking For:
Flexible and adaptable to change
Strong numeracy skills
High level of attention to detail
Excellent organisational abilities
Professional approach with a strong sense of confidentiality and discretion
Desired Qualifications
GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) – desirable
What We Offer
£8.00 per hour apprenticeship wage
Monday to Friday working – no weekends
Company pension scheme with 8% employer contribution
Structured training and development throughout the apprenticeship
Supportive team environment with opportunities to progress
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (35 hours per week)
Delivery to be completed on-site and 6 hours per week off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work. Student to complete an Intermediate Technical Certificate as a Business Administrator Level 3. Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.
