At Plus Dane, we’re looking for a skilled Joiner who brings more than just joinery expertise – someone confident fitting kitchens from start to finish, using a range of trade skills to deliver excellent outcomes for our customers.

Who we are:

Plus Dane provides homes and services to over 30,000 people across Merseyside and Cheshire. Our aim is to tackle social inequality by enabling individuals and communities to thrive and our customer team is at the heart of what we do.

Working with our customers really does change people’s lives and if you want to make a difference Plus Dane is the place to be!

We live by our values of working together, achieving for our customers, taking ownership, and having the opportunity to learn and grow.

About the Role:

As a Multi‑Skilled Joiner, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality kitchen installations and associated works in customers’ homes. This is a practical, hands‑on role that requires direct experience fitting kitchens – from removal and preparation through to final finish.

This role goes beyond general joinery. You will use your multi‑trade skills to complete kitchen installations to an exceptional standard, ensuring customers receive a safe, functional and professional result every time.

Carrying out full kitchen installations, including removal, fitting and finishing works.
Using multi‑skilled trade abilities such as plumbing, tiling or patch plastering to deliver end‑to‑end kitchen works.
Completing joinery works across responsive repairs, voids and planned maintenance where required.
Ensuring all work is delivered to a high standard, on time and with minimal disruption to customers.
Accurately recording work completed, following schedules of rates and using provided IT systems and technology.
Working safely at all times, completing risk assessments and complying with Health & Safety legislation.
Representing Plus Dane professionally and delivering excellent customer service in occupied homes

What You’ll Bring

NVQ Level 3 in Joinery, or Level 2 with substantial, relevant kitchen fitting experience.
Essential, hands‑on experience fitting kitchens (candidates without kitchen fitting experience will not be shortlisted).
Proven multi‑trade skills, including plumbing, tiling and patch plastering.
Experience working in occupied properties; social housing experience is desirable but not essential.
Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.
Confidence using IT systems to manage and record jobs.
A customer‑focused approach with good communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider repairs and maintenance team.

Please note: This role requires travel between properties using a company vehicle, so a full UK driving licence is essential. If you receive an offer, you will be asked to provide evidence of your qualifications (such as original certificates) as part of the onboarding process.

What you’ll get in return:

This is a permanent role working 35 hours per week. You will be working across various locations in Cheshire

You’ll be generously rewarded with a competitive salary and a great benefits package, including 35 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays. This includes a 3-day Christmas closedown between Christmas and New Year and you have the option to buy up to 5 extra days annually.

You’ll also benefit from a company pension scheme where we contribute 10%, and colleagues can contribute anything from 3% upwards. We’re committed to our people’s wellbeing supported by an excellent management team, wellbeing champions, and mental health first aiders.

We actively encourage personal development, with plenty of opportunities to progress your career and access ongoing training, including formal qualifications.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment.
