Maths Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Finchley and the surrounding areas, delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages.
Duties as Maths Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons using provided plans
- Teach a range of mathematical topics including algebra, geometry, number, and statistics
- Support pupils in developing strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Adapt teaching strategies to support learners of different abilities
- Assess and record pupil progress when required
- Contribute to departmental planning and collaboration during longer-term placements
- Help promote positive attitudes towards numeracy and independent learning
Ideal Maths Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge across the Maths curriculum
- Confident classroom and behaviour management abilities
- Ability to inspire and motivate pupils across a range of year groups
- Adaptable across varied school environments
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
