Location: Willesden

Contract Type: Long-Term Fixed Term

Hours: Full-Time (Part-Time options available)

The Opportunity

Are you a dedicated mathematician with a passion for inspiring the next generation of problem solvers? We are seeking an exceptional Maths Teacher to join a high-achieving department within an "Outstanding" rated secondary academy.

In this role, you will deliver a rigorous and engaging Mathematics curriculum that empowers students to master complex concepts. Our academy is defined by a "can-do" attitude, where we believe that with the right support and a structured environment, every student can excel in STEM subjects. You will join a faculty of experts who are committed to transforming lives through academic excellence and a "no excuses" approach to learning.

Why Join Us?

As part of a leading Federation of schools, we offer a culture of high challenge and high support, ensuring you have the tools to be the best educator possible.

  • Financial Rewards: In addition to competitive London salaries, we provide a specific academy allowance (£1,500 - £2,000) and eligibility for an annual performance and loyalty bonus paid each December.

  • Professional Growth: Access to world-class CPD through our dedicated Teaching and Leadership Institute, including specialized Maths pathways and NPQs.

  • Work-Life Balance: Benefit from high-quality, centralized planning and shared resources, allowing you to focus on high-impact teaching rather than administrative tasks.

  • Wellbeing First: A comprehensive wellbeing cash plan (covering dental, optical, and physio), a 24/7 employee assistance programme, and a generous pension scheme.

What We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from both experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong undergraduate degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.

  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons that secure excellent progress at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a plus).

  • A deep understanding of mathematical pedagogy and effective classroom management strategies.

  • A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students.

  • Collaborative Spirit: The ability to work within a dedicated, friendly team of subject specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver a knowledge-rich curriculum that meets the needs of a diverse student body, fostering a mastery of Mathematics.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, using data-driven insights to provide effective feedback and intervention.

  • Maintain a stimulating and focused learning environment in line with the academy's high expectations for behavior.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the academy, including extracurricular Maths challenges and STEM initiatives.

Apply today to become part of a community where your career matters as much as our students' success.
