We are looking for someone with a passion for their subject and the ability to inspire our pupils tobecome the best possible version of themselves and to achieve outcomes that lay strongfoundations for their future success. Do you have the knowledge and skills to work with staff tolead and drive academic standards? Our pupils are happy, confident young people. We are anexperienced, caring and inclusive school, our responsibility is to enable our pupils to thrive.
We are looking for an excellent music practitioner with:
• a proven track record in raising pupil attainment at GCSE (OCR experience preferable but not essential);
• experience of or a willingness to manage peripatetic staff;
• an understanding of how children learn and the complexities of this process;
• the skills to work successfully as part of a team;
• experience of working effectively and in collaboration with colleagues, parents, pupils and the school community;
• strong interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude;
• knowledge of relevant developments and innovations in the use of music to enhance teaching and learning;
• the ability to be kind, positive and committed to the school’s inclusive ethos;
• the ability to be flexible, calm, work under pressure and manage change effectively.
Primary experience is welcome but not essential.
