Summary


An exciting opportunity has become available for aBand 6 Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) NurseatSt Mark’s Hospital—an internationally recognised centre of excellence withinLondon North West University Healthcare (LNWUH) NHS Trust. This role offers an exceptional pathway into the specialist field of IBD nursing, providing the experience, knowledge and clinical exposure needed to progress toward anIBD Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)position. The position is based to work in theIBD Advanced Therapy Service.

As a key member of theIBD Nursing Team, you will work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care for individuals living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop specialist skills within a renowned service dedicated to advancing IBD care.

· To work as a member of the IBD Nursing team contributing to the delivery and development of all aspects of the IBD Advanced Therapy service.

· To assess plan and implement patient’s care, providing specialist and advanced clinical management, education, information and support to patients and their families/careers with IBD.

· To provide nursing care and support in the administration of treatments within the Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) day care unit

· To support the IBD CNS team in providing a unified approach to high standards of patient care within the clinical area.

· To take charge/deputies regularly of the clinical area in the absence of the person with continuing responsibility

· To support an environment that promotes excellence in nursing practice and empowers staff to develop high levels of clinical skills and autonomy.

· Work collaboratively and co-operatively with members of the multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of patients and their families to ensure safe and effective delivery of care for IBD patients.
