Summary

We are looking for a content developer to support the creation and growth of our patient facing digital platforms and patient portal. You should be a creative, motivated and self-driven individual who likes to challenge the status quo and has the capacity to engage with staff, external stakeholders, families and young people in order to influence the delivery and promotion of the services.

This is a trust-wide role, and although you will have a local base, the post requires flexibility and travel across the East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust footprint.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Create written and visual content for East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust digital platforms as directed by the digital content leadership team. This will include designing of website copy and production of pages within the website content management system.
Ensure information is accurate, quality assured, and up to date - recognising digital platforms as primary information sources for relevant audiences.
Identify opportunities for engaging video and animation content and create scripts to support.
Support the delivery of finalised digital work plans, working to tight deadlines and contributing to future developments.
To assist in the design and delivery of training programmes that will support staff to be competent and confident with digitalisation and support future innovation.
Work with the co-production leads as directed, to ensure that staff and service users are included within the design and development of content.
Ensure content, pages, materials and images have clear tags, descriptions, summaries, alt text and keywords for SEO in the content management system.
Support the delivery of events and scoping sessions with staff, patients, service users and external stakeholders.

Communication
The post holder will have contact with a wide range of staff, stakeholders and service users at all levels, in relation to content creation. This will require the post holder to understand and present complex and potentially sensitive information, which will require persuasion and negotiation skills. This post holder will need to make decisions about how to present messages to internal and external audiences, and which communication tool to use to do this to best effect.
The post holder will handle, draft and interpret complex and sensitive information for patients, service users and other professionals, supporting senior staff to make decisions about what the key messages are and how they are presented both internally and externally.
Understand and articulate contentious information relevant to the development of individual digital platforms in a variety of different formats, tailored to meet the needs and expectations of different audiences.
People Management
Maintaining own professionaldevelopment and the requirement to take part in appraisal and KSF process
Demonstrate web content and provide and support training for staff and wider professionals internally and externally, who are not experts in that area.
Clinical and Practice Governance
Observe and maintain strict confidentiality with regard to any patient/family/staff/records and information in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
Responsible for the safe and effective administration of digital health platformcontent management systems (CMS).
Any data that is taken/shared as part of a phone call or transported, faxed or transferred electronically must be undertaken with regard to the Trust Information Governance and Information Security policies.
The post holder must adhere to the Trust's risk assessment and risk management processes.
The post holder must adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
Undertake mandatory training and any other training relevant to the role as required by East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust.
The post holder must participate in clinical and other audits as required.
The post holder is required to participate in the relevant emergency preparedness process for their team.

Sustainability
It is the responsibility of all staff to minimise the Trust’s environmental impact wherever possible. This will include recycling, switching off lights, computers, monitors, and equipment when not in use. Helping to reduce paper waste by minimising printing/copying and reducing water usage, reporting faults and heating/cooling concerns promptly and minimising travel. Where the role includes the ordering and use of supplies or equipment, the post holder will consider the environmental impact of purchases.
