Summary
We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established and reputable plant machinery dealership that provides maintenance and repair services across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter/Heavy Plant to join their field‑based engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer seeking a stable, long‑term role with autonomy, strong support, and ongoing training.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on ideally Bobcat plant machinery at customer sites
- Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Provide a professional, customer‑focused service to minimise downtime
- Complete service reports and job documentation accurately
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations
- Manage tools, parts, and company vehicle effectively
- Plan and manage your own workload and schedule
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Mobile Engineer
- Strong fault‑finding skills in hydraulics, mechanical & electrical systems
- Experience with Bobcat machinery (advantageous but not essential)
- Comfortable working independently in a mobile role
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent in Plant Maintenance preferred
