Desian Education Recruitment are working on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Knowsley to recruit a KS1 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting in September.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work within a Key Stage 1 setting, supporting pupils both academically and socially and assisting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
Working with small groups and individual pupils
Assisting with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy activities
Supporting pupils with additional needs when required
Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Previous experience working within a primary school (KS1 experience preferred)
A good understanding of the KS1 curriculum
A caring, patient and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A valid enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
