Summary
Radio System Engineer (120dm) – London- Docklands - Salary-£45,000
Ideal candidates will have a background in communications and electronic systems, particularly those with experience in the Royal Signals, REME communications roles, or equivalent military disciplines.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work at the forefront of system integration, supporting advanced communication and software solutions across a range of environments.
The role involves working with integrated systems, including two-way radio, mobile devices, and network infrastructure.
You will play a key role in maintaining, deploying, and supporting critical communication systems, while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation and performance of customer radio systems, including:
•Programming and configuration of DMR/PMR radio equipment (Motorola, Hytera, Kenwood)
•Advanced fault-finding and component-level troubleshooting of digital radios
•Conducting detailed site surveys for distributed antenna system (DAS) deployments
•Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs under contract agreements
•Providing both pre-sales and post-sales technical support
•Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety requirements
•Delivering customer training and system handovers
•Performing precision soldering and use of diagnostic/test equipment
•Maintaining accurate technical records and equipment documentation
•Building strong relationships and communicating effectively with customers
Essential Requirements
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in the business radio engineering sector
•Proven ability to diagnose and resolve RF interference and intermodulation issues
•Hands-on experience with distributed antenna systems
•Knowledge of EMF testing and Ofcom compliance standards
•Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
•Experience with VoIP and IP networking
•Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
•City & Guilds qualification in Radio Engineering
•HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
•ECS card holder
•Experience integrating body-worn cameras and CCTV with radio systems
