Location: Newham Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Contract Type: Maternity Cover (Minimum 9 months, potential for extension) Start Date: 11th May
The OpportunityAre you a dedicated and proactive Early Years practitioner? We are looking for an experienced Nursery Nurse or Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our nurturing early years team in Newham. This is a vital maternity cover role where you will play a key part in supporting the learning, care, and development of our youngest pupils.
Main Responsibilities-
Group Leadership: Take responsibility for a group of part-time nursery children, ensuring their individual learning and development needs are met.

Classroom Support: Contribute to a stimulating, safe, and engaging learning environment across the wider nursery.

Observation & Planning: Carry out routine care tasks, observations, and support the planning of EYFS activities.

Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality early years provision and maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all children.
We need a warm and reliable professional who is passionate about early years education. To be successful, you must meet the following essential criteria:

Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years Education (or equivalent).

Experience: Extensive nursery experience within an early years setting.

EYFS Knowledge: A strong, working understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Skills: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Commitment: Reliability regarding the strictly non-negotiable working hours (8am-4pm).
