Long Term Futures is seeking a patient, consistent and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a supportive Haringey primary school.
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting pupils with ASD who understands the importance of routine, structure and clear communication in helping children feel secure and engaged in the classroom.

About the Role
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
- Supporting a pupil with ASD to access learning and remain engaged
- Using visual timetables, structured routines and clear communication strategies
- Supporting emotional regulation and transitions between activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction
- Assisting with phonics, early reading and maths learning
- Monitoring progress and feeding back to staff to ensure consistency
- This is a rewarding role where building trust, confidence and consistency will be key to the pupil's development.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ideally in KS1
- Calm, patient and consistent approach
- Understanding of autism-friendly strategies and communication tools
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Reliable and committed to a long-term role
