Summary
The Maxillofacial Surgery team carries out a large number of surgical procedures for Facial Cutaneous Malignancy each year. There is a well-established weekly Skin MDT based at the York site; this MDT has close links with the Head and Neck MDT. Management of OMFS Head & Neck Cancer is run jointly with colleagues in Hull and Leeds with AHP, Restorative and CNS support provided locally. There is an Orthognathic MDT run on a monthly basis with Orthodontics with 3D planning and excellent laboratory support. The Head & Neck and Plastics Directorate consists of Maxillofacial Surgery, ENT, Orthodontics, Restorative Dentistry, Audiology and Plastics and has its own dedicated Outpatient setting and Outpatients reception team in York. There is a very supportive managerial team and good administrative and secretarial support.
