BACKGROUND TO THE POST

The Literacy and Numeracy Campus Lead is responsible for the operational delivery of all English and Maths at the campus level (14-16, FE, Adult & WBL), ensuring central group goals are translated into high-quality classroom practice. The role centers on building a stable, expert staff team while fostering a campus-wide culture that treats these subjects as a core entitlement for all learners rather than a remedial obligation. By coordinating with vocational areas, the L&N Campus Lead ensures that English and maths are integrated into the daily life of the campus through protected timetabling, shared accountability, and rapid, data-informed interventions.

The postholder will report directly to the Campus Principal and will be fully remitted from teaching but there will be an expectation that the post holder will cover classes where necessary

ESSENTIAL ATTAINMENTS
