Summary
As a Knowledge Management & Business Process Design Officer you will support delivery of efficient and effective regulatory outcomes across the Charity Commission, through the development and maintenance of effective knowledge management practices and tools.
The team’s focus is to improve knowledge that is accessed and deployed daily by a wide variety of end users, often dealing with highly complex cases that must be managed within a legal framework.
With SharePoint established as our main knowledge repository, your role is to enhance and optimise the quality and structure of the guidance it contains. You will support ongoing improvements that keep content clear, accessible and useful for colleagues.
You will manage the process for development and creation of internal guidance under the Knowledge Management Governance Framework, across themes designed to provide a consistent approach and encourage a collaborative working culture.
The job role is a pivotal part of a small team which improves business performance by providing users with the quality assured tools they need to do their job
The main things you will be doing are:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and champion knowledge management across the Commission, while encouraging new ways of working and a continuous improvement culture for casework/technical processes and knowledge.
• Identify and extract areas of tacit knowledge for conversion into explicit knowledge so it can be used more widely.
• Use judgement and analytical skills to interrogate disparate sets of data to provide insights of how knowledge is being utilised.
• Identify areas where knowledge and systems gaps exist and work with the relevant senior stakeholder groups to own an action plan through negotiation and influencing skills to secure agreement of business focussed outcomes
• Contribute to a corporate quality assurance process through analysing and evaluating the effectiveness of internal guidance and knowledge management tools to deliver and maintain a quality assured knowledge base
• Own along with the team the process for developing internal guidance across the Commission, ensuring that knowledge remains current and up to date to drive performance and continuous improvement.
