A young gentleman is looking for a male personal assistant, to support him to live an independent life on a day-to-day basis. As a personal assistant you will be required to provide support in a range of areas including but not limited to:

Support with socialising and accessing The Lodge day centre 3 times per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9am-2pm and 6 hours to be worked flexibly on the weekends at client's home. Able to plan routes and be a confident diver with access to car.
Provide reassurance and prompts around daily routine, getting dressed, and managing safety around the house.
To encourage going out and reduce isolation to be able to accompany outings up to 3 times per week.

Looking for someone who can support with struggles to meet new people, has understanding of Autism and able to support someone who is non-verbal. To be open to get to know me, to be understanding, patient and flexible. Reliable and punctual. Experience of working as a Personal assistant is not necessary but keen learner would be an advantage. If you are friendly, enthusiastic, motivating, and caring and want to support someone to remain independent, this job is for you!

Shift Pattern:
Hours are as above and between Mon, Wed, Fri and flexible on the weekends. Times to be agreed with employer. Self-Employed applicants welcome.
