What skills and experience we're looking for
This role would particularly suit an Early Career Teacher (ECT) in their second year or a teacher in the early stages of their teaching career. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to take responsibility for leading a foundation curriculum subject, with appropriate support.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic class teacher at Waynflete Infants’ School who is creative and passionate about children’s learning and has the desire and motivation to be an outstanding teacher. The successful applicant will be a creative, fun and dedicated KS1 teacher who brings passion to their teaching and who will inspire and engage our children.
Applicants should have recent experience of teaching in Key Stage One along with experience/knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, to ensure clear progression from EYFS into KS1
The school teaches phonics using the Read Write Inc programme and experience of using this scheme is essential. We also follow the White Rose Maths scheme and experience of this is highly desirable. Training will be supported where needed.

The successful candidate will join a highly experienced and supportive KS1 team. Each year group has two classes enabling close collaboration and support from an experienced parallel class teacher All classes benefit from the support of a dedicated teaching assistant.
Staff have access to a range of high-quality continuing professional development opportunities including training focussed on both KS1 and SEND practice. There is dedicated weekly PPA time, which allows teachers to plan collaboratively within the year group.

Early Career Teachers are fully supported with a named mentor who willprovide ongoing guidance, support and professional advice whenever it is needed.
