Contract: Full-time (Permanent)
Salary: Rate per hour £13.85 per hour , temp to perm for first 12 weeks then go perm-Salary- £27-30k dependant on experience.

About Us

Our client are a specialist training provider delivering high-quality trade and construction courses to learners across Cornwall and beyond. Their focus is on practical skills, strong learner support, and positive outcomes into employment or further training. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for a Learner Liaison Officer to join our friendly, professional team based in St Austell.

This is an immediate start for the right candidate- working the 1st 12 weeks -at an hourly rate, paid through the agency.

The Role

As a Learner Liaison Officer, you will be the key point of contact for our learners, supporting them throughout their training journey. You will play a vital role in ensuring learners feel informed, supported, and motivated from enrolment through to completion.

This position is ideal for someone who is well motivated, organised, people-focused, and passionate about education and skills development, particularly within the trades sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for learners before, during, and after their course
• Support enrolment, induction, and onboarding processes
• Maintain regular communication with learners to monitor progress, attendance, and engagement
• Resolve learner queries in a professional and timely manner
• They will also need to maintain productive relationships with both learner, parent and carers
• Liaise with trainers, assessors, and internal teams to support learner success
• Maintain accurate learner records and update internal systems
• Identify learners who may need additional support and escalate where appropriate
• Contribute to a positive learning experience and high completion rates

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is approachable, empathetic, and confident dealing with people from all backgrounds
• Is highly organised with good attention to detail
• Can manage multiple learners and priorities effectively
• Has strong IT skills (email, database systems, MS Office)
• Has experience in education, training, learner support, or customer-facing roles (desirable)
• An understanding of trade or construction training is an advantage, but not essential
