Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned section, ensuring it is fully stocked, clean, organised, and visually appealing at all times.
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and coordinate with suppliers and warehouse teams to maintain consistent availability of products.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of fresh, frozen, and ambient food products in line with food safety and hygiene standards.
Supervise and train staff, allocating duties and ensuring high performance and productivity.
Monitor sales performance within the section and take action to maximise revenue and reduce wastage.
Ensure all products are correctly labelled, priced, and compliant with company policies and legal requirements.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
Ensure health & safety and food hygiene regulations are strictly followed at all times.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Previous experience in a retail, supermarket, wholesale, or food distribution environment
Experience supervising or managing a team is highly desirable
Good knowledge of food products, particularly Asian or international grocery items, is an advantage
Strong organisational and stock management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
