Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all daily retail operations, ensuring the store runs efficiently from opening to closing.
Manage, train, and supervise retail staff, including assigning duties and monitoring performance.
Ensure all sections (grocery, fresh produce, frozen, dry goods, beverages, and ethnic foods) are properly managed and fully operational.
Monitor sales performance and take actions to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
Manage stock availability to ensure shelves are always well stocked for both retail customers and bulk buyers.
Handle customer complaints, refunds, and product issues professionally.
Ensure all products are correctly displayed, labelled, priced, and arranged according to planograms and category layout.
Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and trading regulations.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Proven experience in retail supermarket, cash & carry, or wholesale food environment
Strong background in store or department management
Experience managing large product ranges, preferably Asian or international food products
Strong understanding of stock control, merchandising, and sales analysis
Ability to manage high customer traffic and bulk trade operations
Strong leadership and people management skills
Good communication skills and customer service focus
