#TeamUHD are looking for a porter and security supervisor with excellent leadership qualities to join the team at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

You’ll ideally have experience leading in an acute hospital environment providing porter and security services. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about ensuring a high-quality portering service is delivered across the hospital.

This is a full time position.

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital

Interview Date: 12th May 2026
• To supervise all aspects of service delivery for a high quality Portering and Security service, maintaining adequate staff levels to meet service demand
• To coordinate, liaise & communicate with wards & departments,
allocating Porters in an efficient, effective manner to support the delivery of excellent patient care in line.
• To provide and supervise security response to staff and customers with a view to the positive management, prevention and reduction of crime, violence and aggression.
• Supervise and maintain the access control of the Departmental
Ops/CCTV control room
• Ensure staff training and competencies are maintained

UHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview.

If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
