In this high-impact position, you will:
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Use calm, consistent strategies to de-escalate challenging behaviour and support emotional regulation
- Build strong, trusting relationships that encourage engagement and stability
- Support teachers in delivering tailored learning experiences that meet emotional and behavioural needs
- Promote resilience, self-regulation, and positive decision-making
- Help maintain a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment
- Encourage pupils to re-engage with education and take pride in their progress
- Have experience supporting young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
- Come from a background in education, youth work, care, sports coaching, or alternative provision
- Remain calm, confident, and resilient in high-pressure situations
- Build positive relationships quickly and effectively
- Communicate clearly and work well within a team
- Are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and succeed
