We are seeking a committed and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join our supportive secondary school community in Salford. This is a full-time Teaching Assistant role, working closely with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who require additional behavioural, emotional, and social support to succeed in school.

The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, supporting inclusion, and helping students engage with learning both in and out of the classroom.
- Provide targeted behaviour and emotional support to students with SEN
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and behaviour management
- Implement behaviour support strategies and personalised support plans
- Support students with social, emotional and mental health needs
- Assist teachers in managing classroom behaviour and engagement
- Foster a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment
- Liaise effectively with teaching staff, SEND teams, and external professionals
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN and/or challenging behaviour
- Calm, patient and resilient approach to behaviour support
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to remain positive and consistent in challenging situations
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed
- Previous TA or school-based experience is desirable, but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
