Job Title: Senior Site Manager (New Build Residential)
Location: Multiple Sites in Hampshire and Dorset
**Salary:** Competitive (DOE) – Not Capped for the Right Candidate + Package
Employment Type: Self employed trail leading to Full-time, Permanent
About Us
We are an expanding principal contractor with a strong pipeline of residential new build developments. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to appoint a highly capable and experienced Site Manager to oversee a range of projects, from single-unit builds to small developments.
The Role
This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership and organisational skills. You will take responsibility for delivering new build residential projects, either managing individual sites ranging from 1–10 units or overseeing multiple smaller sites (typically 1–2 units per site) concurrently.
You will be trusted to operate with minimal supervision, taking full ownership of your sites and ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a consistently high standard.
We are a hands-on business where everyone contributes—from owners to labourers. You must be willing to lead from the front and not be afraid to get stuck in when needed, whether that’s cleaning up, sweeping up, pitching in, or doing what it takes to keep the job moving. We run all our builds very efficiently and clean. We do not have a messy site.
Working Hours
Standard site start time: 7:00 or 7:30am
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day site operations across one or multiple developments
* Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site labour
* Maintain and enforce high standards of health & safety compliance
* Plan, monitor, and drive programme timelines
* Ensure quality control and adherence to specifications and drawings
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and senior management
* Conduct regular site inspections and progress reporting
* Oversee materials, deliveries, and site logistics
* Deliver projects through to completion and snag-free handover
* Responsible for site progress photos and maintaining photographic evidence records required for Building Control sign-off
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on new build residential projects
* Demonstrated ability to manage sites of 1–10 units or multiple smaller sites simultaneously
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision
* Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent knowledge of construction processes, H&S, and building regulations
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
* Valid SMSTS and First Aid certification
* Full UK driving licence
What We Offer
* Salary based on experience, with no upper limit for the right individual
* Company vehicle provided
* Pension and benefits package
* Genuine opportunity to progress within a growing contractor
* Stable pipeline of work and supportive working environment
How to Apply
If you are a driven, reliable Site Manager with strong references and a proven track record in delivering high-quality residential builds—and can confidently run sites with minimal supervision—we would like to hear from you.
