Summary


Fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity for 6 months

Health Records are looking for an enthusiastic and organized individual for the role of Health Records Trainer (fixed term/secondment for 6 months). The role involves training a wide range of colleagues across the organisation in health records processes, including the delivery of Health Records Awareness Mandatory Training in-person at the Trust’s monthly Clinical Induction sessions.

It also encompasses auditing and follow up with colleagues across the Trust, working collaboratively with staff to increase knowledge of, and adherence to, Health Records policies and processes. In addition it offers the opportunity to work on some admin features of the Mediviewer system to enhance the user experience of digitized health records. The successful

To provide mandatory and bespoke training in health records processes both within the department and across the Trust. The postholder will also provide bespoke training sessions both in person and via Teams.

To carry out regular auditing of health records tracking and keeping and feed back to the relevant departments, working with them to formulate action plans to address any issues arising from the audits.

To manage access and training for Mediviewer functions such as direct upload and export.

To support the Health Records Information Manager with management of the digitization of health records, including liaison with the Trust’s outsourced scanning provider where necessary.

To attend Trust meetings when relevant.

The following skills and experience will be required and are essential for the successful candidates:
• As part of the Trust’s Induction Programme, to deliver Health Records Awareness Mandatory training, in relation to processes within Health Records to newly appointed Trust admin staff
• As part of the Trust’s Induction Programme, to provide training related to current paper-lite processes, including creation of day-forward material where case-notes have been scanned
• To provide an ongoing training programme to existing Health Records users (admin) across the Trust; to include the current paper-lite processes relating to the management of records
• To provide training to the CSCNC Team in aspects of Records Management processes including the culling of dormant and deceased records
• To deliver refresher training in all aspects of Health Records to Health Records staff
• To monitor the work of the “Culling, Scanning & Case-note Conversion Clerks” to ensure that high levels of competency are maintained.
