Summary
Southern Housing is seeking a DLO Lead Technician to join the Assets & Sustainability > Reactive Repairs – Direct Services team. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality reactive maintenance services across London & West Sussex.
This is a hands‑on, leadership‑focused role requiring strong technical ability, excellent communication, and the confidence to coordinate and guide operatives on site.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operational tasks across reactive maintenance works, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
Support and mentor technicians to maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.
Carry out manual labour and technical repairs as required, ensuring compliance with organisational and statutory requirements.
Monitor job progress, report issues, and escalate risks or delays.
Ensure health & safety compliance across all workstreams.
Liaise with managers and stakeholders to support smooth service delivery.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a DLO / reactive repairs environment.
Strong technical skills in building maintenance or related trades.
Ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate field operatives.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
A proactive, safety‑focused approach to work.
