Year 2/3 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting September 2026

Duties as Year 2/3 Teacher:

  • Teach a mixed Year 2/3 class full time
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Support pupils’ progress in literacy, numeracy, and wider subject areas
  • Maintain consistent behaviour routines and positive classroom expectations
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs, including SEND
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing clear feedback
  • Contribute to planning, assessment, and collaborative team meetings
  • Promote independence, resilience, and confidence in pupils
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal Year 2/3 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong experience teaching in KS1 or lower KS2
  • Confident managing mixed‑age classes
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality teaching
  • Able to motivate and support pupils of mixed abilities
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
