Year 2/3 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting September 2026

Duties as Year 2/3 Teacher:
- Teach a mixed Year 2/3 class full time
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
- Support pupils’ progress in literacy, numeracy, and wider subject areas
- Maintain consistent behaviour routines and positive classroom expectations
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs, including SEND
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing clear feedback
- Contribute to planning, assessment, and collaborative team meetings
- Promote independence, resilience, and confidence in pupils
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Year 2/3 Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong experience teaching in KS1 or lower KS2
- Confident managing mixed‑age classes
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality teaching
- Able to motivate and support pupils of mixed abilities
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
