Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of St James the Less RC Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and talented teacher to join our friendly and happy school team from September 2026. The position is likely to be in Key Stage 2, however, experience across Key Stages is welcomed. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding classroom teacher who is enthusiastic, innovative, highly-motivated and able to create a positive learning environment for the children. We are looking for a teacher who:

- Is an excellent classroom practitioner, with a clear understanding of teaching, learning and assessment.

- Has high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour for all children.

- Is committed to upholding the Catholic ethos of our wonderful school

- Will provide excellence and enjoyment for all children through interesting teaching and learning experiences.

- Is self-motivated and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

- Has excellent written and spoken English skills.
