Summary

Teaching Assistant (Level 2) - Full Time
Location: Helmshore, Rossendale
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour
Start Date: May Half Term
Duration: Until the end of the academic year (with potential to continue into the next academic year)

About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Helmshore area of Rossendale. This is a full-time position starting from May half term, continuing through to the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of extension into the following academic year for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide general classroom support within Key Stage 1 (KS1)
- Work closely with the class teacher to support day-to-day learning activities
- Deliver and support structured phonics sessions in line with school expectations
- Provide targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Monitor and report on pupil progress where required

Requirements
- Previous experience working within KS1 is essential
- Proven experience delivering phonics ( Read Write Inc, Letters and Sounds, or similar programmes)
- Experience supporting children with SEN
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting young learners
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
