Summary

Quality Inspector - Mechanical / Precision Engineering

Aegina Technologies - Southmoor Lane, Havant, PO9
Full-Time | Permanent | 37 hours per week

Monday-Thursday: 07:30-16:00
Friday: 07:30-12:30

Salary: Circa £14 - £16 per hour (DOE)
Start: Immediate start available

Aegina Technologies is a precision engineering manufacturer based in Havant, specialising in the subcontract production of high-accuracy components and assemblies.

We supply safety- and performance-critical industries including aerospace, oil & gas, and subsea engineering, operating to stringent quality requirements within an AS9100-accredited quality management system.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality / Mechanical Inspector to join our busy production and quality team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform in-process, first-off, and final inspection of precision-engineered components
• Carry out visual and dimensional inspections
using hand tools and CMM equipment
Interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications
Produce and manage quality documentation including FAIRs, NCRs, SCARs, and related reports
• Upload and submit documentation via customer portals within required deadlines
• Verify material certifications and ensure full compliance with specifications
• Record, investigate, and support resolution of non-conformances
• Support internal and external audits (including NQA audits)
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality system development

About You

We are looking for someone who brings experience, accuracy, and confidence in a precision engineering setting.

You will ideally have:
• Previous experience in a quality inspection role within engineering/manufacturing
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Hands-on experience with inspection equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.)
Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality standards (advantageous)
Experience using Aberlink CMM (preferred but not essential)
• A highly methodical approach with exceptional attention to detail
