Summary
Do you want to work with young people and families and have transferable skills to work with complex mental health needs? We have an exciting opportunity to work for a Trust that is rated 'Outstanding' by the CQC.
We are seeking a part time band 5 Child and Family Mental Health Worker. This post is based at Wokingham and the post holder will support the Children and Young Peoples Early Intervention in Psychosis Team.
The team deliver high-quality mental health assessments, treatment interventions, and support to young people experiencing Psychotic symptoms or who present with an At RiskMental State (ARMS).
We welcome applicants who have skills (or transferable skills) working with young people with complex mental health needs and have ideally also worked with their parents/carers.
• You will provide interventions and support for young people who are experiencing Psychotic symptoms or an ARMS in line with the NICE guidance.
• You will Risk Assess complex cases alongside the MDT.
• You will work with parents/carer of the young people offering support, advice and psychoeducation.
• You will work with the young person to ensure they are heard, validated and their needs are understood.
• You will play an important key role in liaising with multi-agency partners to ensure the young person’s needs are communicated and all agencies work collaboratively together.
• You will work closely with the wider CAMH services in Berkshire as well as local authority and education colleagues and other services/agencies as required.
• You will be supported, guidedand supervised by senior clinicians in the team.
• You will offer intensive outreach support to young people and their families across Berkshire.

The “must haves” for this role:
1. Degree or HNC/HND or similar in relevant subject with extensive relevant work experience or short courses to degree equivalent level.
1. Previous experience of working directly with young people, families and multi-agencies.
