Desian Education are proud to be working in collaboration with a two-form entry primary school in Widnes as they require an experienced and reliable teaching assistant to join a year 2 class on a temporary basis. This is a long-term position that will last the remainder of the academic year.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining a year 2 class, playing an integral role in a select group of pupil of mixed and lower ability. You will liaise with the class teacher on your pupils requirements and deliver comprehensive interventions in required area’s in the main classroom and delivering intense sessions within a breakout room. You will also support with reading comprehension and phonics sessions using the RWI scheme.
What you need to succeed
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Good knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum
- Experience delivering interventions and boosters in core subjects
- An Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
- Relevant referenceable classroom experience
