Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with an extremely well regarded three-form entry primary school in Widnes that is at the heart of it’s local community as they are looking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant for a full-time temporary contract, subject to funding this position will last until Easter of next academic year. This is an extremely exciting opportunity to support a new pupil to the school within a year 1 class that has a developmental delay. You will play an integral role in their education and development.
Your new role
- 1:1 speech and communication support
- 1:1 interventions in core subjects including numeracy, literacy and phonics#
- Reading comprehension
- Positive behaviour support
What you need to succeed
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- An Enhanced Children’s DBS on the update service or willing to obtain
- Relevant referenceable classroom experience
- Experience supporting SEN is highly advantageous
- An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential
- Be able to commit to a full-time contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week
