Exclusive Education is currently recruiting a caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming primary school in Widnes on a full-time basis. This role is to start after Easter and offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by providing dedicated support to an individual pupil.
The role is ideal for someone who is patient, nurturing, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs. You will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the pupil receives tailored support to help them thrive both academically and emotionally.
To be considered for this 1:1 Teaching Assistant role, you must:
• Have experience working with children, ideally on a 1:1 basis or supporting pupils with additional needs
• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Be able to provide two references covering the last two years, ideally from child-related settings
• Hold a current DBS registered to the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil, adapting learning activities to meet their individual needs
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Implement strategies to support learning and engagement
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to the teacher and SENCO
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
