The Role
The Governors and Principal of St Augustine's CE Primary School are seeking to appoint an excellent school administrator who will also be a welcoming first point of contact for those visiting and contacting the school. The job holder will work closely with the principal/senior leadership team to ensure that the school’s objectives are supported by an efficient and effective administration team.
The post holder will carry out a range of administrative duties, including:
* front of house duties, e.g., handling telephone calls and welcoming visitors;
* maintaining a range of pupil information, e.g., using Arbor and other databases;
* managing and processing payments from parents through Arbor.
* Using a range of online systems, e.g., for data transfer;
* managing nursery and in-year admissions;
* recording and managing pupil attendance data and contacting parents regarding pupils’ absence;
* assisting with the administration of extra-curricular activities and other programmes;
* completing and sharing information with external bodies
The role would suit somebody experienced in working in a busy school office environment. The successful candidate must have:
- An excellent standard of Maths and English
- Possess excellent IT skills including the use of MIS systems
- Excellent communication skills with children, staff, parents and the wider community
- the skills to motivate, inspire and co-operate with their colleagues, parents, pupils and other stakeholders.
- ability to use their own initiative and have a positive attitude towards the school ethos as well as be adaptable in situations.
- a proven track record of good attendance

Actual Salary £22,254 per annum TTO + 5 days
