Summary
We are a growing construction firm working across South Somerset and North Dorset, and we are looking for a reliable and motivated Trainee Labourer who is keen to learn the trade and build a long term career in construction.
This role is ideal for a school leaver or someone at the early stage of their working life who has a strong work ethic, a practical mindset, and a genuine interest in learning on the job.
Key Responsibilities
• Assisting skilled trades on busy construction sites
• General site labouring and maintenance duties
• Loading, unloading, and handling construction materials
• Keeping sites clean, safe, and well organised
• Learning basic construction skills and best practices
• Following health & safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
• A strong willingness to learn and take instruction
• A positive attitude and good timekeeping
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Own transport is essential due to rural site locations
• No previous construction experience required – full training provided
Location
• Primary work locations across South Somerset
• Travel between sites will be required
