KPI Education is working in close partnership with a highly supportive secondary school in the Langport area to recruit an ambitious and high-calibre Mathematics graduate for their September 2026 teacher training intake.

The Opportunity
As a Graduate Maths Trainee Teacher, you will become part of a dedicated and high-performing Maths department within a welcoming secondary school community in Langport. From the outset, you will be immersed in the day-to-day life of a teacher, with a carefully structured training pathway that gradually builds your independence.
You will:
• Support the delivery of Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with exposure to Key Stage 5 where appropriate.
• Work closely with students in both small groups and one-to-one settings to strengthen understanding and raise attainment.
• Develop core teaching skills including planning, delivery, assessment, and differentiation.
• Observe experienced practitioners and apply effective teaching strategies in your own practice.
• Take part in regular, high-quality training sessions focused on pedagogy, behaviour management, and curriculum knowledge.
• Progressively take ownership of lessons as your confidence and ability develop under expert guidance.

Candidate Requirements

You should have:
• A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject (minimum 2:1 preferred).
• GCSE English and Mathematics at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).

• A resilient, reflective, and professional approach to learning and development.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
Previous experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential. The key requirement is a strong academic background, commitment, and genuine enthusiasm for education.
