Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Shopping Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy retail complex. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, exceptional organisational abilities, and excellent communication skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a diverse team, optimise centre performance, and ensure a positive shopping experience for visitors. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to facilitate effective communication with a diverse tenant and customer base.
Duties
Oversee the overall management and operational functions of the shopping centre, ensuring smooth day-to-day activities.
Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of staff and security personnel, fostering a positive working environment.
Manage tenant relationships, including leasing negotiations, conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance with centre policies.
Coordinate maintenance, cleaning, and safety inspections to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the centre.
Implement merchandising strategies to optimise retail space utilisation and enhance customer engagement.
Organise promotional events and marketing initiatives to attract visitors and increase centre footfall.
Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, expense control, and sales management in collaboration with tenants.
Maintain effective communication with tenants, staff, contractors, and visitors via phone etiquette and professional correspondence.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and manage emergency procedures effectively.
Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions.
Requirements
Proven management experience within retail or shopping centre environments; supervising experience is essential.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster organisational growth.
Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous.
Solid organisational skills with the capacity for time management and prioritising tasks efficiently.
Experience in merchandising, sales management, and retail operations is preferred.
Administrative experience including report writing, record keeping, and utilisation of management software.
Professional demeanour with excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
