Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one tuition in GCSE subjects, including but not limited to: Maths, English, Science, History, Geography, and more.
- Work with students who have SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet their individual needs.
- Tailor lessons to suit the student's learning style, providing additional support where necessary.
- Help students with exam preparation, coursework, and understanding difficult topics.
- Maintain progress reports and communicate regularly with parents or guardians.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
Requirements:
- Previous experience tutoring GCSE students, with a specific focus on students with SEN (Special Educational Needs).
- Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum and exam requirements.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEN.
- Patience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching.
- A teaching qualification or relevant experience (preferred but not required).
- Ability to travel to Islington for in-person lessons.
