Personal assistant required 34hrs per week. £13.50 per hour
We are looking to recruit a reliable, outgoing person to support a young man in accessing the community and adult day services. He lives with his parents, siblings, and dog in his family home. He requires 2:1 support. He is nonverbal and a wheelchair user.
Duties include
· Support to get ready for the day and then be transported to day services· To be collected from day services later in the afternoon and returned home· To be supported with meals, activities, and outings.· Supported to attend weekly hydrotherapy sessions (applicants must be comfortable around water)· Personal care is required.· Administration of medication· Some light tasks at home and in the community
Essential
· Experience in care· Driver essential client has access to adapted transport· Reliable and outgoing, caring and kind.· Enhanced DBS ( cost will be covered by the employer)
Desirable
· Knowledge of epilepsy and experience with a hoist is desirable; however, full training will be given.
Hours
Monday 7:30-9:30 and 2:30-5:50
Tuesday 7:30-5:30
Wednesday 7:30-9:30 and 2:30-5:30
Thursday 7:30-9:30 and 2:30-5:30
Friday 7:30-9:30 and 2:30-5:30
There will be a further 4 hours per week to be flexible for outings or family activities.
Occasionally weekend hours may be required
