Summary

Job Title: Academic Support Worker (College)

Location: North West London

Salary: £18- £23 PH

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Academic Support Worker to work with students in a college setting, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their academic goals.

You will support learners across a range of subjects, including those with additional learning needs (SEN), EHCPs, or barriers to learning.








Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group academic support to students
  • Assist learners in developing study skills, organisation, and independence
  • Support students in lessons and during independent study
  • Adapt resources and materials to meet individual needs
  • Work closely with lecturers, tutors, and the learning support team
  • Track and monitor student progress and engagement
  • Support students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, or learning difficulties








About You

  • Experience working with young people or adults in an education or support setting
  • Strong academic background (A-levels or degree preferred)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, adaptable, and supportive approach
  • Ability to motivate and engage learners

Desirable:

  • Experience in FE college or sixth form setting
  • Knowledge of SEN / EHCP support
  • Background in education, psychology, or youth work
