You'll work closely with students, teachers, and support staff to provide tailored support throughout the school day.

Your role will include:

• Adapting tasks and resources to suit individual learning styles
• Supporting students to build confidence, independence, and resilience
• Encouraging inclusion and active participation in school life

You will also:

• Support literacy, numeracy, and subject-based learning
• Reinforce teacher instructions and help clarify tasks
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Support students during assessments or exams where needed
• Encourage engagement and positive participation in lessons

A key part of the role involves helping students feel settled and supported.

You will:

• Implement behaviour strategies in line with school policies
• Support students with emotional regulation and social development
• Build strong, positive relationships that support wellbeing
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and consistent environment

• Support students with personal care needs, including mobility, toileting, or feeding
• Ensure all support is delivered with dignity, respect, and safeguarding in mind

You'll work closely with:

• Teachers and the SENCO
• Pastoral teams and support staff
• External professionals where appropriate

You may also contribute to EHCP reviews, meetings, and ongoing support planning.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with young people aged 11-19
• Understands SEND and inclusive education
• Communicates clearly and builds strong relationships
• Is patient, supportive, and resilient
• Works well as part of a team
• Is committed to safeguarding and supporting young people

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience supporting Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs
• Knowledge of EHCP processes
• Training in safeguarding, behaviour management, or first aid

• A rewarding role where you can see your impact every day
• Experience working within a supportive school environment
• Opportunities for training and professional development
• The chance to support students at an important stage in their lives

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All applicants will be required to:

• Complete an Enhanced DBS check
• Provide satisfactory references
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

If you're passionate about supporting young people and helping them succeed in education, we would love to hear from you.
