Summary
The purpose of this post is to provide a substantive Consultant for the Community and Complex Type 2 Diabetes service. As a senior employee of the Trust the post-holder will work in close co-operation with, and support other clinical, medical professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Trusts patients. This is a replacement post for a consultant diabetologist with an interest in complex type 2 diabetes and community diabetes alongside addressing metabolic risk factors including weight management. It is an opportunity to continue to develop the service, so a track record of leadership and service development is desirable. The vision is that the integrated services will bring together primary, community in secondary care adult diabetes services to create a service without boundaries for Gloucestershire. Our clinical outcomes for people with diabetes are good but we want to make them even better. We aspire to excel and achieve national recognition for service provision.
