About the Role
The London Borough of Bexley is seeking a proactive and customer‑focused Customer Service Advisor to join the Finance & Corporate Services team. You’ll be the first point of contact for residents, providing clear, accurate and professional support across a range of council services.
This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Provide front‑line customer service via phone, email and face‑to‑face channels.
Handle enquiries efficiently, ensuring residents receive accurate information and timely support.
Update records, process requests and maintain data accuracy across council systems.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve queries and escalate issues where required.
Deliver a professional, courteous and solution‑focused service at all times.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Confident communicating with a wide range of customers.
Able to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
Comfortable using digital systems and updating records accurately.
Calm, professional and able to handle challenging conversations.
Reliable, organised and committed to excellent service delivery.
Preferred: Candidates living within a 5–7 mile radius of Bexleyheath.
