Summary
To provide clinical and operational leadership and first line management for a community-based mental health team
in a designated geographical locality within Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust
The post holder will work with senior clinicians and have responsibility for the delivery of high quality
and high performing team to a defined population.
To ensure that staff in the team have opportunities for continuing professional development, in order
to provide best practice and meet the requirements of registering bodies, and to drive improvements
in standards of clinical practice and patient care in line with the NHS modernisation and Public
Health agendas.
To provide direct clinical care to patients.
To work with senior clinicians to actively lead in the delivery of the clinical governance, quality
improvement and performance management agenda within an identified locality team

Our Preston locality is diverse, and the team includes mental health nurses/practitioners, assistant practitioners, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, community support workers, pharmacy colleagues, medical staff, and skilled administrative support. You will work closely with other service managers and clinical leaders to ensure seamless transitions across mental health pathways.
As Team Leader, you will promote a culture of compassionate care, quality improvement, reflective practice and continuous learning. You will use key performance indicators to drive consistent, person centred, high quality care for service users, carers and families.
